Children's Mental Health Day Awareness

4/27/2017

Join Lt. Gov. Brian Calley, MDHHS Director Nick Lyon, youth, parents and others who are coming together to raise awareness, reduce stigma and build partnerships around children’s mental health.
Michigan Capitol Rotunda
100 N. Capitol Ave., Lansing
May 4
11 a.m. – Noon
Did you know?

One in five children suffer from a mental health challenge. Yet less than 20 percent of those affected get the supports and services they need
Over 50 percent of students aged 14 or older with severe mental health challenges drop out of high school – the highest dropout rate of any disability group. Mental health challenges get better with care that is individualized, family driven, youth guided, trauma-informed, coordinated and comprehensive.
Help Raise Awareness
Tell us how you’re celebrating Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day on social media by joining the ACMH live feed at www.facebook.com/ACMH-Association-for-Childrens- Mental-Health-Michigan-106107847959/.
