Thanks to all our regional leaders and hosts for making these 2016 Faith Communities Coalition on Foster Care meetings possible!
 
New Location: Thursday, January 28, 2016 6:30 p.m.Washtenaw FCC, Knox Presbyterian Church, 2065 S Wagner Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103. We will be hearing from local congregations speaking about ways that they have become involved in efforts to improve the lives of foster youth in our community and share ideas about new projects and ideas for our congregations and coalition as a whole. Wednesday February 17, 2016, 12- 1 pm Antrim, Charlevoix and Emmett Counties FCC, Community Reformed Church, 100 Oak Street, Charlevoix Contacts:  Gayle Gotts of First Pres. Church,([email protected]); Karlee Philip ([email protected]); Debra Chappuies ([email protected]); and Sharie Jo Plain, ([email protected]).   [Usually meets on the third Wednesday of the month]

Jim Iras, president of Big Families of Michigan will share a feature about the founder, the late Jeanne Fowler and give updates on significant on-going work of the organization now. Sarai Embaye, a dynamic member of the Foster Alumni Council of Michigan will describe how former youth in foster care are reaching out to support youth from foster care and ways we can join together in helping.
